We will try to give up to the minute alerts on this page if the weather is bad and your children at still at Day Care. We will folllow the prior layout in the Handbook Manual of Severe Weather Procedures. This page is for your convenience only and will be updated by the Director during Severe Weather Conditions.
Handbook Manual - Severe Weather Procedures
C. When weather watched and warnings are issued by the National
Weather Service for tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, etc. or in
the event evacuation from the Day Care becomes necessary for reasons
other than fire, procedures outlined by the County Coordinator for Civil
Defense for the Day Care will be followed.
D. Parents may therefore, be notified to come earlier than usual to
pick up their children.
E. Regarding closing due to severe weather, the Day Care will follow the
action taken by Mobile County School System during the months of
August through May. During the summer months, Please listen to local
radio and television stations for information regarding closing.
* When Mobile County Public School System closes you will have two hours to come and pick up your child from the center. We will pick up students from McDavid-Jones when school dismisses. For example, Mobile County School System closes at 12:30 you will have to pick up your child at the center by 2:30.
